About:
Tis the season to be giving! Each holiday season the Ithaca High School Boys Varsity Ice Hockey team spends the beginning of December working on donating towards the Adopt a Family program with the Salvation Army. Usually the team does a wrapping party after a practice and delivers the gifts and food to the Salvation Army. However, this year due to Covid we can not do our usual wrapping party. Instead we are still collecting the gifts and will deliver them for the family at the Salvation Army. Each family on the team donates a gift or a gift card. It is an amazing way to help support folks in need during the holiday season. The team has been a part of this program for almost 10 years! Happy Holidays!
I would say between getting gifts, collecting and dropping off the gifts maybe 10 plus hours. In a normal season with a wrapping party maybe 15 hours. The main part is folks filling out the spreadsheet for gifts and getting them. Thanks!
