About:
The JJ Patriots tennis team recently took the court for a special “Purple Out” match, using the event to honor and support all those whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
The match also served as a meaningful tribute to Kerri Roger, a beloved JJ math teacher and field hockey coach who passed away from esophageal cancer in 2024.
By wearing purple and dedicating the match to those battling cancer, the student-athletes helped bring their school community together around a cause that reaches far beyond the tennis court.
The Purple Out was a powerful reminder of the impact sports can have when teams use their platform to honor others, raise awareness, and show support for members of their community.
