During the Franklin Square Union Free School District’s Board of Education meeting on Nov. 3, a group of students from John Street School were honored for their acts of kindness.
The students hosted a lemonade stand fundraiser in September, raising over $3,000 for a local family in need.
“We are so proud of them and thank them for choosing to make a difference in our community,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jared Bloom said.
Dr. Bloom presented each student with a Certificate of Recognition. The honored students are:
