About:
Students in Rocky Point’s Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School took Super Bowl fever to another level with a Character Education initiative that will benefit people in the local community.
Deborah Vieira and Lisa Celentano’s fourth grade class collected dozens of canned soups to be donated to the food pantry at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Rocky Point.
“Our class decided to help the community this month by collecting for our Souper Bowl as part of our Character Education program in class,” Mrs. Vieira said of the students who are continuing to learn beliefs and behaviors that are important for them to have as responsible citizens.
