Over the past 3 years I have dedicated around 20 hours either participating in or raising money for the event. A lot of work goes in behind the scenes including getting donors and planning/running clinics to raise money. ASFL is important to me because I can play the sport I love while raising money for such an important cause. I know many people whose lives have been significantly impacted by cancer, and I have them in my heart and mind as I participate in this event every year. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the other girls who participate since we all share the same love or lacrosse. Mike Slonina is the person who created an A Shot for Life and he has done such a great job growing this charity into the success it has become. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of it over the past 3 years! — Kelly Blake
