About:

On Thursday January 19th the Kenmore East Bulldogs boys’ varsity basketball team visited both Edison Elementary and Franklin Elementary in an effort to show future Bulldogs what it takes to succeed both on the court and in the classroom.  At each school, the team spent half the time taking turns reading with young students, while also putting on a presentation in the gym for the 3rd grade students at Edison, and the 4th grade of Franklin.

The gym presentation included a pep rally style introduction for the team, before splitting up into smaller groups to go over basic skills like dribbling, passing, and lay ups.  The team concluded by scrimmaging each other, much to their enjoyment of the young audience.  This day also served as a promotion of the program in an attempt to get more kids interested in the game of basketball, as well get more kids in the district to attend our home games.
