About:
The Kennedy High School Volleyball team recently hosted a successful Dig Pink event in support of the Side-Out Foundation, an organization that connects volleyball to a meaningful mission—changing the future of cancer care. Both the JV and varsity teams came together to raise over $1,500 for this important cause.
To generate donations, the team organized a raffle featuring gift baskets and sold Dig Pink t-shirts to students and community members. All proceeds were donated directly to the Side-Out Foundation to help fund breast cancer research and support programs for patients.
The atmosphere in the gym was festive and spirited, with pink balloons, streamers, posters, and decorations creating a vibrant setting. Spectators, family, and friends were also encouraged to wear pink to show their support. The event was not only a fun celebration but a heartfelt contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Kennedy Volleyball team is grateful for the outpouring of support and proud to make a difference for such an important cause. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!
