About:
The Kings Park Baseball program recently demonstrated the true power of community through a meaningful Autism Awareness fundraiser game—an event that went far beyond the final score.
This spring, the Varsity Baseball team hosted their 1st Annual Champions for Inclusion Game on April 16th at Kings Park High School, welcoming Mount Sinai for a night centered on purpose and impact. In addition to the game, the team organized an Autism Awareness shirt fundraiser, with long sleeve shirts sold to support an important cause.
With overwhelming support from fans, families, and volunteers, the event brought the community together around a shared mission: supporting students with autism and promoting inclusion. Through donations and participation, the initiative is helping move forward an incredible goal—the creation of a sensory room at RJO Elementary School.
A sensory room provides a safe, supportive environment designed to help students regulate emotions, reduce stress, and enhance learning—making a lasting impact on their daily school experience.
The success of the event reflects the leadership and compassion of Kings Park’s student-athletes, who used their platform to raise awareness and give back in a way that will directly benefit younger students in their district.
More than just a game, this initiative served as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a cause—creating a lasting impact rooted in inclusion, empathy, and service.
