About:
This Thursday, January 29, KoMets Wrestling will take the mat for a night that goes beyond competition, hosting “KoMets vs. Cancer” Night alongside its annual Senior Night celebration.
The event combines meaningful wrestling action with a silent auction supporting cancer-related causes, using the sport as a platform to raise awareness and bring the community together. Student-athletes, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend and show their support, reinforcing the idea that athletics can drive impact well beyond the mat.
In addition to the fundraising efforts, the program will honor its senior wrestlers, recognizing their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the team throughout their high school careers. Celebrating these seniors on a night centered on service and compassion makes the event especially meaningful.
KoMets Wrestling continues to demonstrate how student-athletes can lead with purpose, having also hosted a Military and First Responders Appreciation Night earlier this season, further highlighting the program’s ongoing commitment to community service and gratitude.
