Keirra Ettere, one of our senior captains had the idea to do the Community Food Drives.
The first one we did in May 2020 and the second one we did in November 2020. Keirra contacted the Community Pantry at St. Mary’s Parish and decided what needed to done. She made a list of the requested supplemental food needed and put together a flyer. She then organized and we collected all of the food and delivered it. 22 of our Lakeland Varsity Players probably worked for about 2 hours each (each food drive), organizing, shopping, collecting and dropping off.
