The Levy Lakeside School student council would like to thank Lion families who generously contributed to a collection to benefit the local animal shelter Bobbi and the Strays.
Bobbi and the Strays, located in Freeport, houses and cares for dogs and cats looking for a forever home. Donations included towels, spray disinfectant, kitty litter, wee wee pads and dog and cat treats to assist the philanthropic organization with its mission to place animals with loving owners. Items that were donated and could not be used were gifted to the Nassau County Animal Shelter.
Because of the community’s generosity, homeless dogs and cats were able to enjoy the comforts of home.
