Event By: Team Up 4 Community

Event Type: Children & Youth

Sport: Lacrosse

School: Eastchester Senior High School

Date: April 7, 2022

Location:
Haindl Field
Gabriel Rescigno Drive, Scarsdale
NY

About:

The goal of the event is two-fold; to raise Autism Awareness and raise funds for two great charities that we wholeheartedly support as a program (Eastchester SEPTA and South East Consortium). The night of the event you can expect to see a lot of blue. The Eastchester Girls Varsity team will play Valhalla HS at 5pm and the Boys Varsity Team will play Edgemont HS at 7pm. At the beginning of each game, we are planning to have an Eastchester Student (diagnosed with ASD) do the draw/faceoff (like throwing out the first pitch in baseball). During halftime of each game, the Eastchester Blue Devils (our town recreation league) will play mini-games to keep the crowd entertained.
We will be collecting donations at the gate, each donation will receive a wristband commemorating the event (while supplies last) and selling t-shirts as well (also, while supplies last).
We are anticipating an awesome night/event!
We have 4 teams playing, each with around 20 players. Plus the two teams that will play at the halftimes, an estimate around 100.
Athletes will help by promoting the game in school, hanging up fliers, selling t-shirts, getting people to come to the event and hopefully donate.
