About:

There were 17 players from the Long Island Rebel team and about 34 players from the Stonybrook Ice hockey team who participated.
Rebel players partnered up with a SBU player and assisted with hitting and running the bases.
Since every hit was a home run, when in the field they would spend time with players from the League of Yes. Some had races, games of duck duck goose and others had a baseball catch.
The players that were not on the field or hitting were in the “tunnel of love”  which is along the third base line to cheer and applaud the players as they ran home.
The reason the Rebels chose to assist the League of Yes was because every season as a team they  like to do at least one act of community service.
Coach Cartwright said ” I remembered doing the League of Yes from when I was at Stonybrook and it was something that the kids could really appreciate giving back to.”
