About:
It all began last year with a simple dedication game. This year, student-athletes Grace Galvin (Girls Lacrosse), Angelina Hauser (Girls Lacrosse), Jaelyn Mehling (Softball) , and school social worker Mr. Kluber are working to involve more students by sharing information and resources about Morgan’s Message. This organization aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics.
Many teams have hosted dedication games, and the athletes are now forming a club to address important issues facing student-athletes daily. So far, 80 athletes have signed up to be part of this groundbreaking initiative. The club plans to meet once a month to discuss sports mental health and overcoming loss.
With a written proposal and the support of social worker Dylan Kluber, the initiative is gaining significant attention.
