The Longwood Lions recently celebrated their fifth and final Abilities Awareness Day of the school year at Longwood Middle School, continuing a powerful tradition of inclusion, empathy, and leadership.
Players from the Longwood High School football team partnered with members of the Best Buddies Chapter to educate 5th and 6th grade students about the value of embracing differences and recognizing the many ways we are all more alike than we may realize. This impactful event fostered conversations about inclusion and community, reminding everyone that every individual is an important part of the Longwood family.
The visit ended on a high note with a lively game of football at recess, giving younger students a chance to show off their skills while connecting with their older peers.
A special thank you goes to former coach Mr. Mike Felicetta for inviting the team and continuing to champion such meaningful experiences.
