About:
Students at Longwood High School are making a positive difference this fall through the PAWSitivity Club, bringing their school community together through initiatives focused on kindness, inclusion, compassion, and giving back.
From welcoming classmates during Start With Hello Week to supporting a Thanksgiving food drive, club members are demonstrating how small acts of kindness and meaningful service can create a lasting impact.
Start With Hello Week Promotes Kindness and Inclusion
This fall, Longwood’s PAWSitivity Club participated in Start With Hello Week, an initiative designed to encourage students to connect with one another, promote inclusion, and create a welcoming school environment.
Throughout the week, student ambassadors helped spread positivity and encouraged their peers to reach out, make connections, and ensure that everyone feels included.
The week concluded with student ambassadors greeting classmates as they arrived at school, offering friendly welcomes and helping students begin their day on a positive note.
Their efforts served as a reminder that something as simple as saying hello can make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.
Giving Back Through a Thanksgiving Food Drive
In addition to promoting kindness and inclusion, the PAWSitivity Club has also highlighted the importance of supporting families in need through a Thanksgiving food drive.
The initiative encourages students to embrace the spirit of giving during the holiday season and recognize the importance of helping neighbors facing food insecurity.
By participating in efforts like these, Longwood students are learning that community service can take many forms, from collecting food donations to showing compassion and supporting others.
Student Leadership Making a Difference
The PAWSitivity Club provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills while promoting a culture of kindness and community involvement.
Through their work as student ambassadors and their participation in service initiatives, club members are helping create an environment where students feel welcomed, valued, and connected.
Their dedication demonstrates how young leaders can inspire positive change both inside and outside the classroom.
Building a Culture of Compassion at Longwood
Longwood’s fall initiatives highlight the importance of combining school spirit with service, kindness, and a commitment to helping others.
Whether greeting classmates during Start With Hello Week or encouraging generosity through a holiday food drive, these students are showing that positive change begins with everyday actions.
