About:
In 2010, 1st Lt. Scott Milley, a 2005 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and former Boys Ice Hockey captain, was tragically killed in action in Afghanistan. To honor Scott’s legacy, the L-S Ice Hockey program established the annual Warriors 4 Warriors/Patriots 4 Patriots game in 2012. This event, held between L-S and Concord-Carlisle, has grown to include girls varsity and boys JV games, further expanding its impact within the hockey community.
Beyond the ice, the L-S Boys Varsity team has committed to honoring Scott’s memory through an act of service. Each year during the season, the team gathers at a pasta party to assemble care packages for U.S. troops currently serving overseas. This initiative, led by Scott’s parents, Steve and Janice Milley, is a heartfelt way for the team to give back while fostering a connection to Scott’s legacy of service and sacrifice.
This year, the boys once again upheld this meaningful tradition, coming together to show their gratitude to those who serve. The care package night not only reinforces the team’s commitment to community service but also serves as a poignant reminder of Scott’s enduring impact.
The L-S Ice Hockey program remains dedicated to keeping Scott’s memory alive, ensuring that his story of courage and sacrifice inspires future generations both on and off the ice.
