About:
The Lynbrook community recently gathered for an evening of exceptional performances during the Lynbrook High School Tri-M Music Honor Society’s annual benefit concert “Cabaret Night.” The high school cafeteria was transformed into a cabaret lounge, packed with guests including students, family members, board members and administrators.
Tickets were sold for $10 with proceeds going towards the food pantries of St. Raymond’s and Our Lady of Peace churches. Tri-M president Walter Paskoff and treasurer Zachary Leder emceed the event in a humorous fashion as they introduced the acts of their fellow peers. Performances ranged from comedy acts and tap dancing to duets, solos and even a xylophone rock performance.
“The turnout of a yet another sold-out event was a spectacular one, with more than 200 audience members who came together to not only support our students, but also our community,” said Tri-M adviser Krystian Jamrozek. “This musical evening was attended by parents, teachers, administrators and friends of music who came together in camaraderie to help those who are less fortunate than us.”
