About:
Pink Out Day was a two day event this year. October 22 & 23, due to the every other day school schedule…she wanted to make sure all kids and staff got to celebrate and Pink Out for awareness. Although, it wasn’t a huge success in sales but Mia made shirts. Each school had a Pink Out Banner set up outside for photo/selfies! The Tech department made American Flags with Pink running through it for her to raffle off. It was exciting…
Also, some pictures from the Chopshop raffle day and the Long Beach Photo Bus.
Mia received a prestigious award, the Hometown Hero’s Award from Senator Kevin Thomas in October. We had a Virtual Ceremony and it was so lovely and a very proud moment to see her with all these businesses and adults! Kevin Thomas said, “I was playing video games at your age, what an amazing inspiration”
The donation boxes were up all month long for the 6 hour day, (120 hrs) 4 schools…because of Covid she couldn’t maintain them. Pink Out Day was a couple hours here and there for photos. Quite some time Organizing baskets…4 hours at ChopShop, 4 hours Long Beach Photo Bus, (8hours) Mia organized all month long a few hours a day…her raffles are still being sold for her baskets…she displayed them a few days in each school. Due to Covid and closed schools here and there, we extended the raffles. Dr Thompson, her principal is drawing the winners on December 22nd.
