For the third consecutive year, the Manchester Essex Athletic Department rallied together for a department-wide food drive in support of the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry.
This initiative, led by student coordinators Rory Gerhardt ’27 and Libby McKinnon ’25, brings all spring sports teams together to give back to the community. Each program is assigned one of Beverly Bootstraps’ top 10 most-needed items and collects donations over a two-week period. Thanks to the teamwork and generosity of our student-athletes, coaches, and families, we collected over 150 pounds of food and essential items this season.
In addition, our football program continued its tradition of hosting a Beverly Bootstraps Food Drive during the home opener. Fans who donated items received a discounted admission ticket, and together the event brought in approximately 200 pounds of food to help local families in need.
These efforts demonstrate the true spirit of Manchester Essex Athletics — teamwork, leadership, and service to our community.
