About:
On Nov. 7, Manhasset Middle School eighth graders had the opportunity to learn
about Veterans Day and military service directly from local veterans who proudly served in
the U.S. Armed Forces.
These distinguished members of the Manhasset community shared personal stories
from their time in the military, the impact of their service on their families, and how those
experiences shaped their lives.
As a special tribute, students created heartfelt posters with personal notes of
thanks, which were presented to the visiting veterans and will be displayed at American
Legion Post 304 in Manhasset.
