About:

Photo caption: It was a record-breaking year at Seaford Manor Elementary School, which continued its annual tradition of raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a math-a-thon. This year, 85 students participated in the event by completing grade-specific math activity books. Families of students who participated raised money on their own and made a donation, which totaled $9,456, more than double the school’s goal. It was the highest total ever, according to math teacher John Berry, who said that the math-a-thon has been taking place for at least 10 years. He was joined by first graders, from left, Frank Lokitis, Gabriella Lokitis and Leo Howe, who were among the top fundraisers.
