About:

Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School will hold its annual virtual food drive from Nov. 4-19, for Island Harvest Food Bank, an organization that helps families throughout Long Island who are experiencing food insecurity. Sponsors can donate food online, donate cash or sponsor their own drive for Island Harvest, all via https://yougivegoods.com/maymooreprimary.

“Since the pandemic, even more families are struggling to make ends meet,” school social worker Sandra Polichron said. “We thought it was important to continue our food drive despite the new obstacles COVID-19 presented.”
