About:
The Medway High School Girls Volleyball program is bringing its school community together for a meaningful cause on Monday, October 26, hosting a special Dig Pink Night in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Mustangs are welcoming Norton High School for an evening of volleyball, with JV1 and JV2 matches scheduled for 4:45 PM, followed by the varsity matchup at 6:00 PM.
Mustangs Dig Pink for a Cause
Dig Pink Night provides an opportunity for Medway’s volleyball players, coaches, families, and fans to come together in support of individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
By dedicating their home matches to breast cancer awareness, the Mustangs are helping shine a light on an important cause while demonstrating how high school athletics can inspire compassion, unity, and community involvement.
The event also highlights the important role student-athletes can play in using their platform to support causes greater than the game.
Medway Athletics Comes Together for Cancer Awareness
Dig Pink Night is the latest in a series of cancer awareness events hosted by Medway athletic programs this October.
On October 21, the Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted its Kick Out Cancer Game against Millis as part of Senior Night.
The following day, October 22, the Varsity Field Hockey team hosted its Stick It to Cancer Game against Milford.
Now, the Girls Volleyball program is continuing the effort through Dig Pink Night, bringing another athletic program into the school’s October cancer awareness initiatives.
Together, these events demonstrate how different sports programs can contribute to a shared commitment to raising awareness and supporting their community.
Making an Impact Beyond the Court
Through Dig Pink Night and its other awareness initiatives, Medway Athletics is showing how student-athletes can make a difference beyond competition.
Whether on the soccer field, field hockey field, or volleyball court, the Mustangs are using sports to bring attention to important causes and encourage community support.
