About:
At the Valley Stream Central High School District’s Memorial Junior High School, Angela Trager’s 9A Human Geography class recently completed a chapter on race, ethnicity and religion. In conjunction with this chapter, students explored the themes of kindness and toleration.
As an assignment related to the theme, students created friendly greeting cards for young hospital patients. The cards will be sent to Cards for Hospitalized Children, which is an organization that spreads hope, joy and magic to those suffering from medical conditions that are chronic, life-long, progressive and/or terminal.
