About:
Fourteen dedicated students from Mepham High School’s LEO Club spent the day giving back by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity—a meaningful way to start the holiday weekend with purpose.
Although the weather didn’t allow for a traditional build, the students made a big impact by helping out at the Habitat ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. There, they organized and stocked inventory, assisted with cleanup, and helped maintain a welcoming space where community members can purchase affordable home items.
One of the day’s most memorable moments came when students were invited to sign a door that will be installed in memory of former President Jimmy Carter, one of Habitat for Humanity’s most devoted and well-known volunteers. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of service, compassion, and community.
A big thank-you to our LEO Club members for donating their time and energy to such a meaningful cause!
