On September 18th and 20th, the Mepham Girls and Boys Soccer Teams hosted their annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Games, uniting in support of a fellow Mepham student and his family battling pediatric cancer. The girls competed against Herricks High School, while the boys took on MacArthur High School, using their platform to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
Both teams organized fundraising efforts, selling shirts, running concession stands, and holding raffles, with all proceeds directly benefiting the impacted family. In total, the soccer programs raised over $3,000, a testament to their dedication both on and off the field.
These events brought the entire Mepham community together in a shared mission to provide hope and support. Fans, players, and families came together, proving once again that sports have the power to bring people together for something much greater than the game itself.
