On February 13, the Mineola Union Free School District community came together at Mineola Middle School to recognize P.S. I Love You Day—a meaningful initiative focused on mental health awareness, bullying prevention, and suicide prevention.
The day served as a powerful reminder of the importance of kindness, connection, and looking out for one another. Through school-wide participation and visible support, students and staff helped reinforce the message that everyone matters and that seeking help and supporting peers are signs of strength.
By intentionally highlighting mental wellness and positive school culture, Mineola Middle School demonstrated how schools can play a vital role in creating safe, supportive environments where students feel seen, valued, and supported.
P.S. I Love You Day was a proud example of the Mineola community coming together to promote compassion, inclusion, and hope—both in and out of the classroom.
