- Concerned for the Hungry is the non-profit we helped. They provide Thanksgiving dinner boxes for the poor in Schenectady County (they do their work all yearlong)
- We put together 2600+ boxes in preparation for filling them on Saturday. The boxes come flat. We open them, tape the bottom, fold the top flaps inside, and stack them for use on Saturday.
- We typically volunteer on Saturday filling the boxes with food, however we have a XC meet on Sat so moved our volunteer day to Wed. It turns out they need much more help Wed night. They only had about 8-10 volunteers there and would have been there all night if we didn’t help. We will change our day to Wed night in the future.
