We had 7 student athletes from our student athletic council participate.
We worked about 2.5 hours
The students have been looking for ways to give back to the community during these challenging times. They came up with the idea to help sort toys at the capital region toys for tots. It was an amazing experience to see what goes into this organization and how they help many families across the region. The students understand that many sports teams are not participating and that continues to weigh heavily on our kids social and emotional wellbeing. They also understand the bigger picture of families losing their jobs and need assistance. This was a way to step away from sports and do something that made them feel proud of themselves. We call it being MONONPROUD.
