A little nor’easter couldn’t stop this team from showing up for something bigger than themselves.
Student-athletes recently came together to participate in the 2026 Tunnel to Towers 5K in New York City, taking on the course as a team while honoring the heroes and sacrifices remembered through the event.
Despite the difficult weather, the group embraced the experience and the opportunity to support an important cause alongside thousands of others.
For the athletes, the day was about much more than completing a 5K. It was a chance to strengthen their bond as a team, reflect on service and sacrifice, and take part in an event with meaning far beyond sports.
Experiences like the Tunnel to Towers 5K give student-athletes the opportunity to see firsthand how teamwork, perseverance, and community can come together in a powerful way.
By participating together, the team showed that some of the most meaningful moments in athletics happen away from the field — when young people come together to support others and be part of something larger than themselves.
