About:
Next Monday at The Grove, Crimson Girls Basketball will prove that sports can be about far more than the final score. The program is hosting a “More Than a Game” night in support of Claire Stern and the RareDNA Foundation, turning game night into a powerful moment of awareness, unity, and community impact.
The event centers on RareDNA Foundation, co-founded by MG alum and former Division I athlete Claire Stern, whose basketball journey was changed by a rare genetic heart condition. Through advocacy, education, and support, RareDNA Foundation works to give a voice to individuals and families navigating rare genetic diagnoses.
Crimson student-athletes have embraced this opportunity to use their platform for good—raising awareness, inviting the community into the gym, and showing that leadership extends beyond the court. By encouraging fans, families, and classmates to pack the stands, the team is reinforcing a simple but powerful message: when communities come together through sports, real impact follows.
This night will be filled with meaningful basketball, heartfelt support, and a shared commitment to standing with those affected by rare genetic conditions. It’s a reminder that athletics can inspire compassion, amplify important causes, and create moments that last well beyond the buzzer.
