About:
Mt. Pleasant Elementary School students received a lesson in empathy and kindness while helping those in need on Feb. 15.
Via the Blankets of Hope charity, the school received 514 blankets at no charge. Students then participated in a 30-minute kindness workshop that included writing a note of encouragement to the blanket’s ultimate recipient. The blankets will be delivered to a local homeless shelter for distribution.
