Students in Munsey Park Elementary School’s Kindness Club helped to spread some cheer this Thanksgiving season. The students prepared wooden blocks as table centerpieces for Thanksgiving with simple, yet heartwarming messages to be donated to the local firehouse.
Some students chose to convey a funny Thanksgiving message such as “Gobble ‘Til You Wobble,” while others captured the sentiment with a simple word – “Thankful.” The centerpieces were designed to show appreciation for the tireless and often dangerous work performed by the community’s local firefighters.
Upon completion of the student’s projects, they were wrapped and delivered to the firehouse with the help of the De Pietro family. Each centerpiece was also delivered with a personal note of gratitude for the volunteers who bravely protect the community.
