About:
The boys’ basketball team, in collaboration with the Student Athletics Club, recently took part in a meaningful initiative to promote mental health awareness among athletes. The project was spearheaded by student Lilly Crowley in partnership with Morgan’s Message, an organization dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in sports.
As part of the initiative, the boys’ varsity basketball team wore special shirts during their game against Our Lady of Lourdes, whose team also participated in the effort. Before tip-off, Lilly delivered a heartfelt message to raise awareness, and throughout the game, additional messages were shared by the announcer, reinforcing the importance of mental health support for student-athletes.
This initiative showcased the power of sports in driving important conversations and fostering a supportive community for athletes both on and off the court.
