At their spring captains’ workshop, the team captains at Nauset High School were given the opportunity to select a local organization to raise awareness for and support with a donation. After careful consideration, they chose the Animal Rescue League (ARL) in Brewster as their cause.
In mid-May, during the spring season, Nauset held “Nauset Cares Week”, where each home game became a chance for the teams to collect donations and distribute bracelets, generously provided by the Nauset Warriors Booster Club. Parents, families, and staff contributed to the cause while learning more about the work of ARL-Brewster.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the student-athletes and the community, the Nauset Athletic Department, along with the Booster Club, presented a check to the ARL-Brewster at the Fall Parent/Athlete Meeting.
This initiative, though simple, demonstrated the power of teamwork and leadership. The students worked together effectively, leading their teams and raising funds to support a local organization close to their hearts. Their efforts reflect the values of community and giving back that Nauset strives to instill in its athletes.
