About:
We had a very successful food drive supported by the North Babylon community. We collected a lot of non-perishable food items, hygiene products and some new hats and gloves for the upcoming colder months. Michael Cashman (Varsity Boys Soccer Coach), Sarah Lambert (Varsity Girls Cross Country and Track Coach), Matt Temme (Varsity Boys Track Coach), Alex VanRossem ( JV Girls Soccer Coach) and Steve Corrado (Varsity Baseball and Varsity Girls Soccer Coach) with his kids, all helped with the receiving of items. Many of the North Babylon Student-Athletes stopped by on their own or with their parents to drop off food as well.
It was the first food drive that the NB Athletic Department has organized and we will look to continue these food drives and other endeavours to support our community. Student athletes from a variety of sports helped with the cause.
