About:
During Mental Health Awareness Month, North Rockland Central School District student-athletes came together to honor the memory of Morgan Rodgers through a series of special Morgan’s Message games hosted by the district’s Morgan’s Message club.
Varsity baseball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, and softball teams all participated in awareness games designed to continue important conversations surrounding student-athlete mental health. These events, which have become a meaningful tradition throughout North Rockland’s fall, winter, and spring sports seasons, serve as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health.
The Morgan’s Message club continues to play an impactful role within the North Rockland athletics community by encouraging open dialogue, reducing stigma, and supporting fellow student-athletes both on and off the field.
A special recognition goes to Dakota and Acadia Scanlon for their leadership and dedication to spreading awareness and continuing Morgan’s Message throughout the school community.
Through events like these, North Rockland Athletics continues to show that supporting one another extends far beyond competition and that no athlete should ever struggle alone.
