About:
Members of Valley Stream North High School’s Students to Oppose Prejudice (STOP) Club visited Bethany House in Baldwin on Sunday, Jan. 22. Under the guidance of advisor Catherine Modzelewski, students Ryan Badello, Alyssa Cruz, Arshia Iqbal, Nabeel Kimji, Wajeeha Nadeem, Eisha Nasar, Kylie Noce, Esther Nozea, Caitlin Waldron and Julia Waldron brought home-cooked dinner and desserts for the residents and joined them for an evening of dining, games and mingling.
The STOP Club’s goal is to help students understand their rights and the rights of others and to help them develop concern for the well-being and dignity of all.
