About:
We had six basketball players help out during the family, fun and fitness night.
The student athletes volunteered their time for two hours.
Student athletes hosted a basketball skill station (dribbling, passing, shooting, etc) and the elementary students rotated to their station.
The family, fun and fitness night is hosted by the school PTA. The PTA representatives reached out to ask if we would be interested in helping out at this event. Besides the basketball team, the girls soccer team, varsity dance team and members of the Oceanside High School Student Athletes in Service to Others group also participated and helped out at different stations that elementary students and their families rotated to throughout the night.
