About:
The out of the darkness into the Lacs fundraiser game came about from my son struggle with depression. as a family we have done the out of the darkness walks for the American Foundation for suicide prevention. which really helps my son connect with people dealing with the same struggles as himself. wanting to do more for AFSP and wanting to teach my players about altruism I decided to put this event together. players Humboldt schools 85 in total bought t-shirts and wore them and they’re warm ups prior to the game. after both games concluded ball 85 players got together and watch this short video on signs if one of their friends, classmates or family members could show if they are suicidal and how to get them help that is needed. during the junior varsity game our 4 Varsity players sold 50/50 tickets. also during the varsity game the 4 JV captains did the same. we raised just under $1,000
