P.A.L. Jr Islanders 8U AAA Team Takes Action! 🌊💙
On August 24, 2024, our P.A.L. Jr Islanders 8U AAA team joined forces with the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society for a beach cleanup at Point Lookout.
Equipped with buckets and pickers, the players and their families worked together to collect and log marine debris and trash. The data they gathered was shared with NOAA Fisheries, contributing to the marine debris database. This initiative not only removed harmful debris but also created a safer environment for birds and marine mammals by preventing entanglements and ingestion of trash.
At P.A.L., we believe in teaching our players the value of giving back to their communities and making a difference beyond the rink. Community service is a cornerstone of our program, and we couldn’t be prouder of our 8U AAA team for their commitment to protecting our local beaches and wildlife!
