About:
Students at Babylon High School recently volunteered to paint portraits of the cats and dogs awaiting adoption at Babylon Animal Shelter. This project was coordinated by senior Allie Van Rossem, whose own experience adopting a pet inspired her to help others do the same. The students’ finished portraits have now been posted on each animal’s cage at the shelter to capture the attention of potential adopters and help the animals find their “forever homes.” Once an animal is adopted, its new owner will be able to take home the portrait as a special keepsake.
