The time has come again for the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Students in both Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School and Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School participated in the collection for a great cause, with a total of 199 pairs of pajamas donated.
This year the pajamas collected will be donated to children who reside in the local community through the Children’s Community Center Head Start in Port Jefferson. Scholastic will donate a bedtime story to accompany each pajama.
The Pajama Drive is a nonprofit organization that works with Scholastic to provide new books and new pajamas to children in need. Since 2001, it has donated over one and a half million pairs of pajamas.
