About:
The Park Wolfpack football community is once again showing how athletics can make an impact far beyond the field.
Through this year’s Tackle Cancer initiative, approximately 120 football players helped support a schoolwide effort benefiting the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
The Park Wolfpack Football Booster Club played a major role in organizing the campaign, selling special Tackle Cancer shirts that gave supporters free admission to the game. Players helped spread awareness by wearing the shirts around school and incorporating pink into many of their game-day accessories.
During the game, the booster club also collected donations and organized a meaningful “Stand Up to Cancer” moment, giving fans an opportunity to recognize and honor those affected by cancer.
The evening became even more personal when the Wolfpack recognized a former Park football coach who is currently battling throat cancer.
By bringing together players, families, boosters, and fans, the event created a powerful show of support while raising funds for cancer research and community programs.
All proceeds from the campaign will benefit the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund. The final fundraising total is still being calculated by the booster club.
