About:
he Patchogue-Medford Varsity Softball team is proud to host two special dedication games this season, each focused on raising awareness for important causes close to the hearts of many.
On May 8th, during a non-league game against Center Moriches, the team dedicated the day to raising awareness for CHD—Congenital Heart Defects. The game served as a tribute to the strength and courage of those living with CHD. Players took the field with inspiration and heart, reminding everyone that “Your courage is our inspiration today.”
In an earlier game against William Floyd, the team honored Morgan’s Message, an organization that shines a light on the importance of mental health in athletics. Before the game, athletes took time to speak about the significance of Morgan’s Message, helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging open conversations among student-athletes.
These meaningful events reflect Patchogue-Medford Softball’s dedication to making a difference—on and off the field. Through sport, they continue to inspire change, raise awareness, and stand in solidarity with those facing challenges in our communities.
