About:
The Patchogue-Medford Field Hockey program continues to show what it means to lead with heart, compassion, and purpose—both on and off the field. This October, the Raiders are rallying their community through two powerful events: their 18th Annual Stick It To Cancer Game and a dedicated Morgan’s Message Mental Health Awareness Game on October 6.
18th Annual Stick It To Cancer Game
On Saturday, October 18, the Raiders will take the field for their long-running Stick It To Cancer matchup at PMHS, with Varsity hitting the turf at 11:00 AM and JV at 12:30 PM.
This tradition has become a defining moment each season, bringing families, athletes, and supporters together to raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer.
In the week leading up to the game, the team is hosting a large fundraiser featuring more than 25 raffle prizes, all donated to support the cause. With tickets priced at just $10 for entry into any prize drawing, the community is invited to participate and help make a meaningful impact.
Morgan’s Message Game – October 6
Earlier this month, the team also took an important stand for mental health by hosting a Morgan’s Message Game. Athletes played in honor of the movement’s mission: to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in student-athletes and ensure no one struggles in silence.
By sharing resources, wearing blue ribbons, and dedicating gameplay to the cause, the Raiders helped spark conversations and strengthen support for mental health advocacy within their school community.
A Season of Purpose
Together, these two events showcase the Raider Field Hockey program’s commitment to service, leadership, and lifting up others—not just as athletes, but as changemakers.
