he Patchogue-Medford Girls Basketball team kicked off the holiday season in the most meaningful way — by giving back to their community. The student-athletes spent a joyful and energetic morning volunteering at the Santa Toy Trot 5K, supporting participants and helping bring holiday cheer to families throughout Patchogue.
Partnering with Kiwanis of Patchogue, the team assisted with event operations, encouraged runners along the route, and helped collect toy donations for local children in need. Their positive energy and teamwork added warmth and enthusiasm to an already festive event.
The Santa Toy Trot 5K is a cherished community tradition that blends fitness, fun, and philanthropy. By volunteering, the PM Girls Basketball team not only helped ensure the event’s success but also reinforced the spirit of giving that defines the season.
