The holiday spirit is alive and thriving at Patchogue-Medford, where the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)has kicked off its first-ever SAAC Toy Drive alongside a special collection to support a local animal rescue. With energy, heart, and student leadership at the forefront, Pat-Med athletes are rallying the community to make this season brighter for families and animals in need.
SAAC Holiday Toy Drive
SAAC is inviting students, families, and staff to donate new, unopened toys to help give local children a memorable Christmas. Donations can be delivered to Coach Sturgess in the West Gym office, and the drive will run through Friday, December 19th, with toys being delivered immediately after.
To spark inspiration, SAAC shared a list of popular and much-needed gift ideas:

Each donation also earns 20 Raider Points, encouraging student-athletes to lead through generosity during this month of giving.
Supporting @AlmostHomeLI Animal Rescue
In addition to the toy drive, SAAC is collecting food, toys, and accessories for the local Patchogue animal rescue, @almosthomeli. This initiative reflects SAAC’s growing mission to serve the entire community — including its four-legged members.
Empowering Student-Athlete Leadership
December is a month dedicated to giving back, and Pat-Med SAAC is embracing that spirit wholeheartedly. Their commitment to both children and animals highlights the group’s collective mission: empowering student-athletes to help build a strong, caring community.
Through service, teamwork, and compassion, SAAC is showing what it means to lead on and off the field — inspiring the entire Raider community to join in and make a difference this holiday season.
