About:
The Patchogue-Medford High School varsity softball team is stepping up to celebrate the people who make a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom—its teachers.
Hosted at the school’s softball field, the team’s Teacher Appreciation Game brings together student-athletes, educators, and the community for an evening centered on gratitude and recognition. Ahead of first pitch, players will take time to share a special “thank you” message, acknowledging the dedication and support teachers provide every day.
The event highlights the strong connection between athletics and education, reinforcing how teachers play a vital role in shaping not only academic success but also the character and leadership of student-athletes.
Following the tribute, the Raiders will take the field to compete against Longwood, turning appreciation into action under the lights.
More than just a game, this event is a meaningful reminder that behind every student-athlete is a team of educators helping guide their journey—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.
